Bryon
C. Cohen is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to
the Ontario Bar in 1973. He
obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo in
1967 majoring in urban geography.
Mr.
Cohen considers himself to be a specialized generalist, relying upon
the interdisciplinary skills he acquired in his undergraduate
geography courses. These
skills in his opinion are fundamental to achieving solutions in the
business world as well as in the not for profit sector and are
reflected in his legal strategies.
Mr.
Cohen has been involved in a number of community based organizations
over the years. At one
time he was a Director and the Vice-President of the Scarborough
Business Association, the forerunner to the Scarborough Chamber of
Commerce. He is a long
time director of Kennedy House Youth Services Inc. and has acquired
significant expertise in management issues of not for profit
organizations as well as with youth related not for profit services.
During
his career, Mr. Cohen has also given a number of lectures regarding
business law, real estate law and estate planning at the invitation
of various businesses and government agencies. |
